About Charging Energy Hubs
With climate targets and the advent of more and more zero-emission zones, it is becoming increasingly urgent for the logistics sector to switch to electric vehicles. This leads to several challenges: such as an increasing burden on our electricity network and finding suitable charging locations.
The Charging Energy Hubs project aims to accelerate the roll-out of charging infrastructure for logistics. With technological innovations and improved (logistics) planning, battery storage and renewable energy sources are integrated into existing electricity networks.
We are testing various technological innovations at three use case locations. These serve as a pilot and validation environment for (inter)national rollout and scaling up.

Who is involved?
To better match the growing demand for powerful charging infrastructure and the supply of electricity, 27 companies and knowledge institutions from across the value chain in the energy and automotive sectors are working together on Charging Energy Hubs.
Partnership
The project consists of 10 work packages in which different partners work together.

Duration: January 2024 - December 2027
